Juicing for a Healthier Living

I have a very bad schedule during weekdays- I need to travel 3 hours each day for the office.. need to wake up at 5:30 am and reaching home earliest by 8:00 pm..and since we're based abroad we need to take care of everything..every single details of our day to day living.

I having PCOS ( Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) which was diagnosed last 2009 which make me difficult to conceive and we really love to have one. One of the effect of this syndrome is weight gain - that's why I started to make my diet with no carb by night. Which honestly help me lose some pounds. By night, I'm into fruits or smoothies and recently I'm trying out juicing.

I love carrot juice!!! I just mix different variety of fruits to accompany my carrot juice.

All you have to do is put all your choice  of fruits and vegetable in  your juicer and viola you have a healthier drinks instead of consuming those carbonated and sugary drinks.

Carrot, Cucumber, Apple and Peach

My juice + 2 slice of bread with malunggay spread

Love our body - Health is Wealth!! Happy juicing everyone :)

P.F Changs sumptuous meal

Nice place
It was an ordinary office afternoon when hubby called to pick me up in the office along with his colleague/ friend.  Right after he informed me I immediately think of a nice place to dine in  and I wonder why not try P.F CHANGS since I been eyeing for this for a quit sometime.

We just decided to go to Deira City Center branch which is located at the second floor (near Sharaf DG Store) and adjacent to Texas Roadhouse (I'm so tempted to dine here instead of PF Changs when I saw this - good thing calories cross my mind hehehe). It's perfect when we arrived only few customer's were there, I have read on some reviews that it takes time to serve the food but on our experience waiting time it's not that bad at all probably because they only have few customers at that time. Our server is a nice guy and  diligently explain to us their different sauces and how to achieve a very nice sauce which will compliment to all of their dishes.

For the appetizer we ordered the famous Shrimp Dynamite which is very very delicious (I'm so in love with this dish) and calamari...I just got amused when I saw their calamari  it's not a ring one hehehhe.

Shrimp Dynamite

And since I'm on a diet we didn't ordered that much -  PF CHANGS Fried rice with Chicken and Mongolian Beef for the main course but off course I tried it to taste. The fried rice is good but we find the Mongolian Beef too sweet which remind me of Tocino I will not order this again in the future.

PF Changs Fried Rice with Chicken

Mongolian Beef
It's time to eat...

Sigma Make me Classy Brushes

I'm so exicted!!! at last I received my Sigma brushes which I ordered online thru Laylam ( ) actually this is my second time dealing with them - first was when I got my ELF blushes and contour. And for both transaction I'm having problem in terms of delivery (I don't know If it's just me but the courier they're using is a mess..) but as per the product I don't regret getting it from them I'm fully satisfied and happy. Do I going to purchase with them again??? YES, I can wait as long as the goods are still in good condition. So for ladies in UAE who's looking for a reliable seller of SIGMA Brushes. Laylam is a trusted distributor. They also have other brands such as ELF, OCC, Wet N Wild, Lorac, Real Techniques etc. available which you couldn't find in the mall.

This is the one I got

Free gift - Brush E25

Super nice and cute pieces.

I'm so in love with the looks like MAC brushes!!! the size and weight is just too perfect for me and the brush is so soft.

Make me Classy includes the following:

Foundation - F60
Smooth foundation application. Apply liquid or cream products such as foundation and primer.

Subtle cheek application. Use the angle to softly contour the cheekbone. Can also be used to apply blush.

Even powder application. Uniform blending of powder products onto the face and body.

Even application of color. Place color across the whole lid for an even and string application of product.

Soft blended crease. Using just the tip to apply color, sweep back and forth through the crease for a diffused and blended finish.

Create precise lining. Moves fluidly and easily across the upper and lower lash lines. Use with gel, cream or powder liners.

Soften and smoke out lines. Soften pencil liners along the top and bottom lash lines, add shadow to line the eyes or use to highlight inner corner of eyes.

It written in the package to wash it first before using. So I just gave them a good shower with my favorite shampoo and let them sit to dry.

Applebee's Surprise

The America's Applebee's only have one store in UAE which is loacted in Sheikh Zayed Road... but that was before they just recently opened their second store in Sahara Center in Sharjah (lucky me!!!).

Me and my colleagues used to set a date to  have a meal in this diner and due to it's location I never dine  here with my hubby. That's why im sooooo happy when finally they will be expanding their business in our location which only means we can hang in here more often.

And last night, guess what??!!!! It's their first opening day...and not only that!!! we wore the first customer. The moment we sat the crew informed us that a SURPRISE is awaiting for us....I got excited off course..I was thinking of a free dessert. But the surprise is more bigger that I expect..."ALL FOOD ON THE HOUSE!!!!" isn't that nice??!!'s actually SUPERRRRR GREAAATTTTT!!!

We're belong to their history now...

Again..THANK YOU SO MUCH APPLEBEE"S - SAHARA CENTER!! We had a  great time enjoying your super delicious food.

Pichi Pichi

Pichi-Pichi is a gelatinous dessert  made from grated cassava and sugar. The concoction is placed in a mould and steamed until a sticky-gelatinous texture is formed. After steaming, this is coated with grated coconut or cheese. I preferred using grated cheese to counterpart it's sweetness.

  • 3 cup Grated cassava
  • 2 cup White sugar
  • 1¾ cup Water
  • 1 tsp Lihiya or lye water
  • 1 tsp Pandan Essence
  • Grated cheddar cheese

  •  Peel and grate cassava to make 3 cups.
  • Combine in a bowl the grated cassad cassava and pandan water.
  • Add in the sugar and stir well to dissolve.
  • Tint the mixture with green food coloring.
  • Divide the mixture and pour into round pan or pour into individual puto moulds or into muffin pans.
  • Steam in a preheated steamer for about 45 to 50 minutes until color became translucent.
  • Scoop using a spoon or ice cream scooper to form a ball and roll in grated coconut or grated cheese.

Bohol 2013

Bohol..Bohol..Bohol...I love Bohol!!!!!

Ever since I really wanted to go to Bohol, everytime I saw pictures in social networks I wanted to fly back to Philippines. I must admit I'm more excited going to Bohol than in Cebu (heheheh!!!). And  when we got in there it justify the feeling..Bohol is such a beautiful..beautiful place!!!

That's why I'm so happy when we finally  made it. And I regret just staying there for 3D/2N we should have stayed a little bit longer.

As I mentioned in my earlier post in our Cebu-Bohol Trip blog. We took ToGo ( going to Bohol and Wessam Express going back to Cebu ( total cost for two pax is approx. Php. 1600.00.

We reached Tagbilaran port by around 1:00 pm and we didn't had a hard time looking for our pick up. From the pick up up to checking in everything is so smooth. After checking in we had our lunch in their restaurant. And this is our first meal:

yummy and healthy breakfast

All are errands are included in our package in Amarela. And it's a bliss - well organized plus the driver is very nice.

Day 1: Panglao Tour (this is supposed to be Snorkeling and Dolphin watching but since weather is not that so's not a bad replacement at all):

Hinagdanan Cave & Shell Museum
Hinagdanan Cave is naturally lighted there are were holes on the ceiling where sunlight passes through.  The cave is made of limestone with stalactites and stalagmites on it's ceiling and a secretly hidden lagoon.

Bohol Bee Farm:

Actually we're supposed to stay here but my hubby is not a  fan of rustic ambiance. Perfect for dinner date.

Ohhh and this is the famous ice cream.

I had Malunggay ice cream and hubby had Guyabano

what an awesome view??!!!

The Souvenir Shop where they sell native items, organic products such as teas, pastries, breads and spread.

Day 2: Countryside Tour

Tarsier Sanctuary

We only saw 3 Tarsier that time - their hiding elsewhere.
Chocolate Hills

Man-made Forest - Thanks to Imelda Marcos project (planting of Mohogany Trees)

Honestly I didn't enjoy much of the food but I guess you're not paying for the food it's the view that you pay.

Butterfly Farm

Biggest phyton
 Baclayon Church

Blood Compact

Overall we had a great time staying in Bohol including how nice Boholano's are. We'll definitely come back to try DANAO ADVENTURE!! See you soon Bohol...
