Amazing Drug Store Cosmetic - NO7 Protect & Perfect Foundation & Lipstick

This is my first time to try drug store cosmetics which I got from Boots Pharmacy. And it took me almost 30 minutes looking and reading on the each labels- I’m sure the assistants were wondering if I will really buy :D

I was looking for a foundie which is not too heavy on my face and when I saw this anti-ageing foundie which promises light to medium coverage.

I got the shade of Cool Beige which is perfect for my skintone which I believe is best suits to Filipinas.

The consistency is a little bit watery which make it easier to spread on the face but difficult to hold on the finger. What I really love with this product is - it is lightweight and you can hardly tell you've got a foundation on plus it has SPF 15 to protect my skin from the sun.

I'm using this together with my concealer to cover the uneven color.

I have no plan of purchasing a new lippy since I still have a bunch of stash in my drawer but when I tried this  one.Oh mg God I can't resist!!hahahaha

I love that this lipstick feels almost like a lip balm and doesn't dry my lips at all. The color is simply gorgeous.

Overall I'm so happy with my first drug store brought stash.

Neal's Yard Remedies: Ethical Organic

Neal's Yard Remedies is a line of beauty  organic product from babies to ageless beauties. Their products are quiet expensive but believe me it's very effective. As a matter of fact this is the second time I have the same product despite the expensive price.

A bag of goodness!!- Hubby's gift

I have a problem on my left side of my face near to the hair line. For some reason I'm having redness and sometimes  itchiness..good thing no rashes at all only redness. I already consulted this with a Dermatologist but the toner and creams he gave doesn't work. I even tried commercial products in the supermarket and drug store but nothing happened as well.

Until one time I saw this lovely store which sells large range of beauty product and when I checked the price..Oh my goodness!! I can't believe it..I badly need to convince my self to grab one hahahaha!! At last at the nth time of my visit I decided to get a moisturizer, a night cream and a facial scrub. I just brought them blindly..

And guess what??!!It works..I didn't regret buying them and this is the second time for my babies.

NIGHT CREAM: Vitamin E & Avocado Night Cream

I'm using the moisturizer by day along with my Pond's Age defying SPF 15 and it really tones down the redness and itchiness. The only thing I don't like was the smell - since it's organic they don't put any fragrant to their product. But as long as it works for me I don't mind the smell anyway it would fade away hehehhe.

The night cream is super good as well it makes my face well hydrated and when I woke in the morning my face still look fresh even though I only have few hours of sleep.

The SA gave me this tiny container with a sample of Soothing Starflower Daily Essence. It is a serum which you need to put after applying the toner then the moisturizer.

I have used it this morning but not yet quiet impressed. I'll be using it for  few more days and would see if it really helps.

As of the moment, these are my face essentials.

The total bill was AED.400.00 or 4,500.00 in Peso. This is not bad at all for I used my first items for 11 months.

Review: Smashbox Custom Color for Light Skin

This brand have been worn by fabulous faces such as Drew Barrymore, Charlize Theron and Madonna. It's a expansion business from Smashbox Studio to Smashbox cosmetic line.

Honestly, I'm getting addicted with make up from Philippines local brands to branded ones. But since, branded or designer's one is very expensive I'm just buying it when it's a good deal.

I bought mine I guess last six months ago during the Midyear Sale of Chalhoub in World Trade Center. Actually, I brought it impulsively..it's already when I got home when I noticed that this for light skin- good thing I'm not that dark.

The set is very cute- it's in a box in black and have the pictures of what is inside. The make up is fully secured which is wrapped with bubble sheet.

Eyeliner - Black
Lip Pencil
and 2 lip gloss

They're very compact so it's so easy to bring along. And all the products are very pigmented and easy to blend.

When I tried it..this is what I got!!! Not that bad but my foundation is very bad hahahha honestly I didn't bothered to pay attention on blending it well since I'm just at home and wanna try this set..so my apologize for my foundation!!!

Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser

Maybelline is an American brand sold worldwide and owned by the French cosmetic company "Loreal". And who doesn't hear their slogan "Maybe it's Maybelline".

I got my Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser when one of my colleague's relative went here in Dubai. I asked a favor if they can brought me some goodies from the Philippines. Unfortunately, this product is not yet available in my location.

I knew this product through reviews and I got curious to try on.

The packaging is very pretty and light weight you can carry it on your make up pouch.

The product promised a baby skin poreless and a smooth canvass when applying make up and on my experienced I just achieved the later. 

It's a translucent silicone gel and when applied it easily glide on your face. No sticky feeling and no fragrance at all.

For it's price this product is not bad at all.

Sephora is one of the leading perfume and cosmetics store worldwide. It features a variety of beauty products from over more than 100 including NARS, Urban Decay, Make up For Ever and Too faced Cosmetics. And Sephora itself also carries their own make up, skincare, beauty tools and accessories.

I have  been my planning to visit Sephora's store for quiet sometime but for some reason it was always not given a chance...but finally  last week when we're roaming around in Mirdiff City Center I just saw the store without any intention of dropping by- this is it!!!

I had brought 2 lippies of Sephora and an eye primer from Urban Decay (i'll make a separate blog for this..)

I love the black tube packaging and the name at the bottom part. The smell is quiet ok for me it's tolerable. The only thing I don't like on the product is the staying powerr probably because it's creamy and glossy type.

Most of the time I'm using my Guest List lippy for like natural look - I truly love this color. Next time I visit Sephora I'll try to get the matte one and I hope the super dying Urban Decay Naked pallete too.

Update: 18.10.2013  - I was about to use my Just Dating lippy when I noticed that it melted. I'm so disappointed with it.

D&G Perfect Finish Creamy Foundation-Beige

I been using my MAC Studio Tech for quiet sometime now and honestly I feel comfortable using it..not until I met my D&G Perfect Finish Creamy Foundation (Beige 78).

At the first glance, the packaging looks similarly to Dior Pro Cheek Blush, but this one is actually made of Glass instead of Acrylic which make it very heavy and not advisable to include in your vanity pouch.

The design is very simple yet so elegant with the color gold and crystal (glass).

I really had trouble choosing for the shade..I was torn between Beige and Natural Beige but at the end I settled with the Beige and no regrets at all.

What I really love on this product since it's a cream based it's easy to apply on skin and you can even use your fingers if you don't have a foundation brush and honestly even I have one I still use my fingers hahahha..and most importantly I don't feel any itchiness. For me the only down fall on this product is the smell..it's smell like rubbery or what.

Price wise, I honestly think this is worth every penny even though this foundation is one of the most expensive in the market, it would be best to choose  the best shade suits on your skintone before purchasing.

Nichido High Definition Lipsticks

Nichido cosmetics is my most favorite local brand. I have tried their powders and liners and I just so love it. This is the first time that I purchased their lippies and as expected I love it too. Quality and price wise (Php. 198.00) this is a good steal.

It's very pigmented lip color and it stays on my lips for 4-5 hours without re-applying. And it also doesn't dry up my lips. And smell wise it's not that strong like the usual lipstick.

Next time I will try to get more lippies in Nichido :)
